Building 5, level 5, room 5220

Students for Sustainability will host a 1.5 hour workshop that will include:

  • Overview of the circular economy concept
  • Strategies to take theory to practice
  • Ideation exercise on real-life circular solutions

Attendees should leave the session with a better understanding of the circular economy concept and how it can be used to leverage sustainable, systemic change. They should learn strategies to help identify where and how these changes can be made, and to think through possible unwanted outcomes.

The skills learnt in the workshop can be applied broadly, to both personal and professional scenarios.

About the speaker: Lorna is a visiting student from Maastricht University. In Maastricht she studies MSc Sustainability Sciences, Policy and Society, and in KAUST is researching at the Clean Combustion Research Centre. The focus of her Master’s thesis is how small and medium sized enterprises in the UK food sector engage with the circular economy, and how they can be better supported to do so.
