Dear Community Members,

We would just like to thank you for being part of IPTV service during the past few months. We also hope you all were making the best use of our IPTV services over the past few months during the pandemic situation. We want to share two significant points with you.

First, as we have communicated earlier, all the premium content on the IPTV platform, which was made free to the KAUST community at the start of the COVID-19 lockdown, will go back to the paid model as of Tuesday, September 15th, 2020.

  • All Video on Demand will return to its original cost.
  • Free-To-Air channels will continue to be available at no cost.
  • Premium channels will be returning to a subscription-based model.
  • You can find the list of Free-To-Air and premium channels on the IT website.
  • The 100 SAR credit provided, or what’s left of it, will be removed.
  • People who had credit before the offer will retain that credit.

Second, to be able to focus on providing better services and support. To achieve that, we will be moving away from supporting our old IPTV application and concentrate our efforts on the new one.

As of September 31st, 2020, the application initially installed on the provided set-top boxes will no longer stream any channels.
