Building a Resilient Me: Food, Mind and Body: Yoga Session with Nimisha Rajawat

Thursday January 13 14:00 – 16:00 (Spine Auditorium between 4 and 5)
Friday January 14 17:30-19:30 (IRC)

The workshop will be an interactive session where people will learn:

1) mindful and meditation techniques to use in day-to-day life and to build a more resilient mind

2) the ancient Indian science of food (Ayurveda) and how the system can be personalized for a healthy digestive and immune system, and

3) the practice of yoga to help build resilience in dealing with challenging situations that arise in personal and professional life.

All three of these aspects help to cultivate a resilient individual.

Mangrove Planting Activity

Friday January 14
King Abdullah Monument. 8:00 – 9:00. Registration required

KAUST is home to a vibrant and thriving mangrove forest that spans over 110 hectares. In efforts to make WEP 2022 more sustainable, the HSE Department, in collaboration with the WEP team and Facilities Management team (Horticulture and Pest Control), are undertaking travel-associated carbon emissions offset for the event through mangrove plantation at KAUST Nature Conservation Area. The travel carbon offsets have been calculated using a methodology employed by the International Civil Aviation Organization, a specialized and funding agency of the United Nations.

Don’t Miss Out on the Resilience Game and Mosaic Board

Challenge yourself by attempting the Resilience Game outside the Library on the Campus Spine for the duration of WEP 2022.  And don’t miss the Resilience Mosaic Board – take a portrait photo to complete the board and guess the final picture of the resilience mosaic board and be part of WEP 2022 memories.
