Angklung Workshop

The organizers of the Angklung Ensemble offer a three-evening workshop on February 5, 12 and 20.
Participants are encouraged to attend all three sessions to gain experience and confidence in playing the instruments.
The angklung is a traditional Indonesian musical instrument made of bamboo tubes that are attached to a frame. Each angklung has a specific pitch that can be produced by shaking the angklung and every member of the ensemble is responsible for one or two pitches. By playing all the notes together, the ensemble creates a complete song with harmonies. Your expertise may then be showcased at a KAUST community event!
No need to register for this workshop. All musical levels are welcome.
