A thrilling game of cricket was played Friday evening last, Sept 19, which resulted in a very close win by the KAUST staff when they beat the graduate students by just one run.
All the players, as well as the number of spectators who showed up, thoroughly enjoyed the cricket extravaganza. Both sets of players exhibited great sporting prowess during the match, as Abdullah Hafiz was crowned as Bowler of the Match. While Khalid Mahmood, was awarded the title of Best Batsman.
After the resounding success of the inaugural Students vs Staff match, both sides are hoping to make these games a regular event in the future.
The match was organized by the graduate student cricketers and sponsored by Graduate Affairs.
