Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) opened its doors on December 6th, 2021. The Festival is for film lovers, filmmakers, and the global film industry. See the blockbusters of the future before they hit the big screen. Discover old favorites with lovingly curated retrospectives and restored classics. Explore immersive audio-visual worlds and try something new with experimental and short film strands. The Festival hosts several programs for people interested cinema industry and movie making:
The Red Sea Souk
The Red Sea Souk is the film market running alongside the public Festival. It offers comprehensive industry programs and brings the opportunity to connect with the Arab film scene. Taking place December 8-11, 2021, as part of the Kingdom’s first-ever international film festival, the Souk provides unbeatable access to the vibrant new Saudi scene, as well as the best of the Arab market.
The Red Sea Lodge
The Red Sea Lodge, in cooperation with TorinoFilmLab, seeks to empower cinematic talents, preparing them to launch and succeed in the world of cinema. With that goal, twelve projects were selected to participate in an intensive program that aims to develop them, taking the necessary steps to get them closer and closer to the big screen.
Talent Days
Taking place on December 12-13, Talent Days is the opportunity to develop skills and insight to take projects to the next level, touching on everything from production to financing. Led by industry experts invited to share their experience and give updates in film production, financing, and distribution. In various sessions across two days, they will share their industry expertise and inspiration to help emerging filmmakers expand their knowledge and skills for a competitive edge in the international market.
