In conjunction with the NEOM AI Challenge, Prof. Wolfgang Heidrich and Prof. Jeff Shamma invite KAUST students from all three divisions to dream up ideas and imagine new solutions for solving challenges in NEOM using AI Models.
Student-only teams are invited to:
- Build a team of 3-5 KAUST students.
- Pick a challenge area: Energy, Entertainment or Mobility.
- Invent a solution that applies your AI knowledge and research to the future destination of NEOM.
- Describe the project in one-page: a) name your team, b) list your names, c) identify the challenge area, d) articulate the problem to be solved, e) describe your solution, and f) share your implementation plans.
- Email proposals and queries to neomchallenge@kaust.edu.sa by June 15, 2020.
Only a total of three different teams—one team in each area of Energy, Entertainment, and mobility—can represent KAUST.
All proposals will be reviewed internally with the three finalists to represent KAUST be announced on June 21, 2020. Selected teams will compete in the NEOM AI Challenge with an electronic submission of proposed solutions on September 1, 2020, and participation in the challenge event on September 16, 2020.
