Health, Safety & Environment Department (HSE) invites you to join in our next “Guided Bird Walk”.  The “mangrove walk” will take place on Saturday August 19, in the Island district. You can expect to see around 30 different species which will include several different herons and at least 12 species of waders. We might even be lucky enough to glimpse the shy Little Bittern or one of the elusive types of mangrove warblers found here.

The walk should take around 90 minutes. Meeting place is at the Island Mosque at 6:30 a.m. Remember to bring a pair of binoculars if you have one. Water, sunscreen and a hat are recommended.

KAUST is a haven for birds; since its opening, over 240 different bird species have been recorded within KAUST.
