  1. It is nice to hear that there are complimentary bus to Jeddah Airport. However,Is there any reason behind for selecting April 2? Why not make it one whole week every first and last week of the month.

    • Dear Ver,

Transportation is evaluating the demand then decide the need to cover any shortage, for the rest weeks the service provider can cover the demand its just matter of adjusting the time to accommodate the request, even though the Transportation cannot provide buses for individual late requests, anyhow we have requested the service providers to increase their drivers in the future.

      • Dear Saif,

Appreciate your reply and clarification. Is it possible to send information for at least a month or two so that to plan/align flight schedule with the complimentary bus service schedule to Jeddah airport. somewhat similar to the shopping bus schedule.

        Regards,

      • Clearly you are doing a very poor job in evaluating the demand, because there are many people who can not find taxis on other days, including for the return journeys (10th, 11th). And they were requesting shuttles a sufficient time in advance, but you did not provide them. Also this should have been announced a long time ago, at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Not at the last minute.

  2. That’s great about the shuttle service as we will be needing it that day! Can you confirm if we need to book a specific time or do we just turn up at the bus station?

  3. Dear Ant,

Thank you for taking the time to respond to this post. The transportation department provides the free bus shuttle service to compliment rather than compete with our taxi service providers. We continuously monitor taxi requests and availability; with last minute requests being at the level the need for a shuttle is often only a day, or two, prior to the preferred dates of travel. We will be discussing this matter with our service providers to find ways of possibly increasing the number of taxi’s available during peak times for example.
