The lectures will feature the following topics:
- Principles and analysis capabilities of X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy
- Theory of tool set-up and operation
- Applications in different fields of study
- Comparisons with other surface analysis techniques such as AES and UPS
- Hands-on laboratory demonstration on KAUST Kratos Analytical Instrument
- Examples of Data Analysis and processing will be given throughout the course
