Africa Trek: In the Footsteps of Mankind (film and seminar)
by Alexandre Poussin & Aurelian Manchon
Thursday, January 24 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Discovery Theater
After a bicycle tour around the world and the grand traverse of the Himalaya ranges, Alexandre and Sonia Poussin made the first successful attempt to cross the African Continent on foot, unassisted. They took 39 months to walk from one end to the other of the Great Rift Valley, trying to symbolically remake the first journey of the first men. This seminar consists of two parts: a showing of the film “Africa Trek: In the Footsteps of Mankind” (about 2 hours) and a 1-hour seminar/discussion about their walk and experience.
