KAUST Solar Center (KSC) is pleased to announce another edition of the KSC-SESP Photovoltaic (PV) Installation School. The event is organized in close collaboration with our partner, Saudi Electric Services Polytechnic (SESP), with support from KAUST Innovation. SESP, an affiliate of the Saudi Electric Company (SEC), is a leading vocational and professional training body in the Kingdom and is certified by the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KACARE).
The solar PV Installation course emphasizes installing grid-direct solar systems and offers practical experience with a variety of frequently used systems. The foundation of this course is a thorough understanding of the various PV system components, system topologies, and applications. Other topics covered in the course include site analysis, system installation, array configuration, electrical install components (like wiring, overcurrent protection, and grounding), a thorough examination of module and inverter specifications and characteristics, mounting techniques for various roof structure and ground mount configurations, and an introduction to safely and effectively commissioning grid-direct PV systems.
KSC-SESP PV Design School is now affiliated with North American Board for energy practitioners (NABCEP) as Registered Provider for PV Associate Programs.

Eligibility
KAUST students who are interested in a career in the Kingdom’s industrial PV sector and who hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, are invited to register. KAUST staff seeking to extend their knowledge of PV design are also invited to register for this event.
Registration
Registration for the school is open until Sunday, August 27, 2023, subject to the availability of places. If you wish to attend, please register your interest. If you are allocated a place, you will be notified and provided with further event details.
