Bicycle route in Campus along the west side of Al Jazri building (building 4), campus library (building 12) and Al Khwarizmi building (building 1) have now been modified. The three temporary ramps in the area are now removed after the addition of two permanent ramps and a new pathway that are convenient for bicycles and wheel chairs.

Enjoy safe bicycling at KAUST!

  1. That’s great news! I would like to know if there is an improvement plan to remove the large map which is straight in the middle of the cycling/pedestrian path along the university buildings on the ground level (on the seaside)?
That big block is causing lots of confusion on how to cycle and avoid collisions from people coming from the opposite direction.

  2. This is great and appreciated! In addition to that, I would like to express my concern regarding the bridge ramps that connect Verra Pizza area to Harbour houses across the canal. I find them to be quite impractical due to their steepness, narrowness, and specially the challenging turn they present. This makes it difficult for individuals using bikes, strollers, or wheelchairs to navigate through. As a result, the ramps don’t serve a useful purpose. Thank you once again for your attention to this matter!

  3. After so many years, cyclists got the smooth ramps! I really appreciate the management who gave this decision. I hope there will be other major improvements for cyclists.
