Dear Kindergarten families,
Welcome to The KAUST School! We are so happy you have joined our school community.
As the school year is quickly approaching, we know that you will have many questions about your child’s first school day and the people they will spend it with. Our team is ready and eager to meet you and answer all of your questions. We look forward to onboarding our new families for a great start to the new school year!
The KAUST School (TKS) Kindergarten New Family Orientation takes place on August 21 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
During this parent-only portion of the kindergarten orientation, you will be introduced to school leaders and teachers, get a tour of the school and learn from our kindergarten counseling team about the various ways that we work together with families to support your child. You will also learn about how to access our digital platforms to follow your child’s progress, how to use various communication channels and get involved at TKS.
After you take your lunch, we invite you to return to campus with your child to visit their classroom and meet their teacher between 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. This time will help ease any worries that you or your child may have before the first day of school.
Kindergarten is an exciting time for you and your child. We are here to support you along the way and look forward to warmly welcoming you into the TKS family on August 21.

Morning schedule for parents only
8:00 – 8:15 Arrival and registrations (please enter through KG East Gates)
8:15 – 3:30 Director’s welcome
8:30 – 8:45 Principal’s welcome
8:45 – 9:30 Counselor presentation – Transitioning into Kindergarten
9:30 – 9:45 Break
9:45 – 10:15 Introduction to IT platforms for Kindergarten Parents
10:15 – 11:45 School tour, information tables, parent activity
BREAK FOR LUNCH (on own, please return with your child/ children)
Afternoon schedule for parents and children
1:00 – 4:00 Classroom drop-in (anytime within this period)
During this time, you and your child may stop in to meet your child’s teacher and explore that classroom and school spaces.
