What is Data Privacy Day?
January 28 is the global celebration of Data Privacy Day. On this day in 1981, many countries around the world signed the first legally binding treaty addressing the protection of personal data (“Convention 108”). Convention 108 established principles fundamental to data privacy, and a total of fifty-five countries have now ratified this treaty.
Data Privacy Day provides an opportunity to reflect on our own path to data privacy here at KAUST!
Join Us on Our Path to Privacy
To this end, we’ll be proactively contacting, and coordinating with, units to provide workshops on various data privacy initiatives about to be undertaken.
