The Office of Student Life is excited to announce KAUST’s inaugural Seeds Awards. These awards are designed to celebrate KAUST students’ achievements outside of their academic program. We encourage all KAUST staff, students and faculty to participate by nominating our graduate students.
Nominations are now open.
Awards will be given out in several categories including:
- Seeds of Outstanding Student Organization
- Seeds of Outstanding Contribution to Society
- Seeds of Student Life Awards
- “The Seeds” — Overall Graduate Student Affairs Award
Nomination guidelines:
- Nominees must be currently enrolled as graduate students.
- Nominees can be nominated by other students, faculty or staff.
- Nominators should write a justification statement per nomination
(maximum of 500 words). - Nominators should upload documents to support their justification, where possible.
- The nomination deadline is April 5, 2023.
- A committee will select the recipients of the Seeds Awards, which will be presented at the graduate student End of Year Gala.
Why KAUST Seeds?
The four Unity Seeds are part of the KAUST logo that projects the fundamental pillars of the University. With their optimistic colors, the seeds represent the four areas of research: food, water, energy, and the environment.
