World Environment Day TODAY

World Environment Day is a day for people all over the world to come together to ensure a cleaner, greener, and brighter outlook for themselves and future generations.
The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Department invites you to participate in World Environment Day TODAY, June 5.

By celebrating the World Environment Day, we remind ourselves and others of the importance of caring for our environment.

The celebration activities include:
• “Segregate your Waste” activity for school children at Harbor Sports Club to raise environmental awareness
• Demonstration of office paper waste and associated environmental impacts at the entrance of the main library and at CSOB building
• Environmentally-friendly horticulture and landscaping practices for the day

On this World Environment Day, community members are encouraged to continue to conserve energy, water, and minimize waste generation.
