Boy Scout Troop 13

Last night, Boy Scout Troop 13 held a Court of Honor, a ceremony that recognizes the achievements of their troop members.

A message was given by special guest, Captain Victor Organ of Boy Scouts America in Jeddah, who encouraged the boys by reminding them of the valuable life skills they are learning – skills and experiences that have lasting effects long after leaving the fun and adventure of scouts.

Scouts among all four patrols of the troop (Desert Foxes, Sharks, Scorpions, and Vipers) were awarded merit badges and advanced to Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks.

Star rank was awarded to Nathan Herrington for having completed requirements such as earning the first six merit badges needed for Eagle rank, participating in a service project, serving in a position of responsibility within the troop, and demonstrating the scout spirit by living the Scout Oath and Scout Law in everyday life.

Congratulations to Troop 13!
