This photo, of two whale sharks feeding with jacks in the Red Sea was taken by Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) research colleague Simon Thorrold. He is working with Professor Michael Berumen and research colleagues here at KAUST to examine movements of whale sharks using PSAT tags. This photo will be used as the first “image of the day” at the end of the week to launch a revamped WHOI website.
