Vehicle Sticker Replacement Program

As part of the KAUST Smart Gate Project that was announced last year, Government Affairs would like to inform you that vehicle RFID tags are now the approved means for vehicle access to KAUST. Vehicle stickers will be phased out by 31 March 2022.

To date, 80% percent of the total number of active vehicle stickers have already been replaced with RFID tags.

We urge all vehicle owners who have not yet replaced their vehicle sticker with the new RFID tag to ensure they do so before the 31 March 2022 deadline.

How can I get an RFID Tag for my vehicle?

  • Requests can be made via MyGA Platform
  • Go to the “Vehicle RFID tag” section and click “Create Vehicle RFID Tag request”
  • If you have an existing sticker click “Renewal” in the request type and follow the process. If your vehicle is new to you and you are applying for vehicle access to the campus for the first time, please select “New” as the request type and follow the process.  Please ensure you submit all documents that are requested.
  • On completion of the request submission, you will be given a request number.
  • Once the request is approved, you will get an email that asks you to book an appointment.

RFID Tag offices:

  1. GA Center (tags fitted at the north garage car park, level 2, GA Office assigned parking slots)
  2. Gate 2 Security Office
