Join us at the WEP2022 Resilience Opening Celebration

Today’s the day, WEP2022 Resilience has arrived – please join us at the Opening Celebration in the Auditorium in Building 20,  in person or online from 17:30-19:30.

The inaugural event, Mission Sustainable Development, introduced by President Tony Chan, is a perfect taster of the eclectic and fascinating agenda on offer at WEP 2022 over the next two weeks.

KAUST is delighted to welcome Jeffrey Sachs – the world-renowned economics professor and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University will deliver a virtual keynote lecture.

Absorb an intriguing mix of science and music as members of The Climate Music Project – Stephan Crawford, Erik Ian Walker and Wendy Loomis – share their original music compositions.  Professor David Keyes will close the event with a recital of his own work of poetry.
