Building 3 – Level 0 – Optical Microscopy Lab

The Imaging and Characterization Core Lab is bringing Andor’s BC43 to KAUST for a seminar and demo from November 24 to November 27.

The seminar will be a presented by Dr. Ruediger Bader from Oxford Instruments detailing the functionality and advantages of the BC43 with a description of the technology, including example images from many fields of biological research.

Following the seminar, you can register to try the BC43. Andor’s benchtop spinning disk confocal microscope delivers images at the push of a button. This plug-and-play confocal system has been designed with performance and accessibility in mind, ensuring hassle-free, high-quality 2D & 3D imaging for busy researchers. Andor is the first microscope manufacturer to offer an IQ / OQ quality control program that ensures that all BC43 microscopes operate within tightly controlled parameters, providing confidence that your data and experiments are reproducible in the future. Capture superb confocal images 10 times faster than a point scanner-based confocal with the Andor Benchtop Confocal!

BC43 is a prime solution for 3D imaging of thick samples. A high sensitivity, high-speed imaging camera makes it perfect for live-cell confocal imaging. A motorised XY stage allows multiple point acquisition, large organism montages and multipoint scanning resulting in outstanding productivity from a single imaging experiment.
