Supporting Earth Hour on Saturday, March 28

KAUST is joining the global community to celebrate Earth Hour. On Saturday, March 28, from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m, non-essential lights across the campus and community will dim or completely darken (without compromising safety). You can do your bit for Earth Hour by switching off all non-essential lights in your home every day; make every hour, Earth Hour.

The community celebration at Al-Marsa Walk will start at 8:00 p.m. with activities and entertainment for the whole family including star gazing, music, story time and more.

Look for more details on The Lens and the F&C website about Earth Hour at KAUST, as we get closer to March 28.

Thank you to our tenants for taking part and agreeing to “switch off”.

What is Earth Hour?

Earth Hour is a global lights-out event that has grown from a symbolic one-city occurrence, into a global movement. This year hundreds of millions of people from all walks of life across 7,000+ cities and towns, in 154+ countries and territories, will be synchronizing their “switch off” on Saturday, March 28 from 8:30 p.m. (local time) for one hour.
