SRSI 2018: Recruiting mentors to shape the future leaders of Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Research Science Institute is recruiting mentors for summer 2018. SRSI gives Faculty and Research Scientists the opportunity to guide, teach, and inspire young students, to share scientific knowledge with the brightest youth from Saudi Arabia, and to support the development of KAUST graduate students and post docs as future teachers, tutors, mentors and leaders.

The Saudi Research Science Institute (SRSI) is a summer research internship program for academically talented high school students.

Time frame: The 2018 SRSI program will take place from June 30 – August 10, 2018.

Commitment: Mentors designate team members to guide the students throughout the 6 weeks; providing background reading materials, training in use of scientific equipment, carrying out the experiment, and collecting data and analyzing/interpreting results.

Mentors should offer suitable five week projects within the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields, giving the students a chance to experience research being conducted at KAUST.
