The 2016 Winter Enrichment Program (WEP) is coming soon!
This year’s WEP will celebrate the themes of climate change and sustainability. WEP 2016 is the most exciting and lively time of the year at KAUST.
Registration for WEP 2016 is open to everyone in the KAUST community starting from today, November 15. To register for events, visit wep.acadox.com. If you’re new to WEP, you will need to create a profile to register for events.
WEP 2016 will run from January 9 to 22, and will include a range of keynote lectures on topics ranging from science in Hollywood films to polar exploration to the future of the energy industry. Besides the keynote lectures and special events, WEP 2016 will also feature a range of cultural and recreational events, including, a reuse art workshop, African drumming classes and a 5K fun run.
Art is always a large part of our programs, and the WEP team are proud to present several exhibitions on our campus, including “On the trail of the Glaciers,” a unique interactive exhibit that will allow you to walk through time and witness glaciers retreat. We will further explore our themes with a two-day film festival at Discovery Theater featuring films ranging from short documentaries to blockbuster movies.
Finally, we’ll wrap up WEP 2016 with a closing evening of awards and music featuring a performance by the internationally acclaimed Mongolian folk music group Khusugtun.
This year’s WEP events are the result of suggestions and submissions from our faculty, students and community members, making WEP 2016 a program that is created by and for the entire KAUST community.

I am logged into my Acadox account, but when I click on an event I would like to register for, there is nowhere to register.

Yes, happening to me also. My students can and are registering but it seems to be closed for everyone else. Please activate so we can all register. Thanks

Dear Dawn, Karen and Maan,
There appears to be an issue with acadox where some people who have registered for previous programs are logging in and seeing the 2016 site without register ability. In this case, they see ‘wep2015’ in the black bar at the top of the site, with no way to switch to 2016.
To solve this, please try closing all tabs in your browser, opening wep.acadox.com again and logging in. The ‘join this community’ button should appear on the homepage and you should be able to join the 2016 program from there. After that, events will display their register buttons.
