Registration is now open for the November to December Art Club Workshop series through the KAUSTCentral app.
The Art Club offers a variety of classes and provides access to the Art and Ceramic Studios at the Island Recreation Club (IRC), where members can develop their skills, attend workshops, and work on personal projects.
Workshop schedule
Sundays: Oil painting | Starts November 1
Learn classical oil painting techniques from a very experienced art teacher, for beginners, intermediate and advanced painters.
Mondays: Acrylic painting | Starts November 2
Learn how to paint with acrylic paints, similar to painting with oil paint, but a lot less difficult because you don’t have to wait for it to dry.
Tuesdays: Ceramics | Starts November 3
You will learn to throw pots on a pottery wheel, and how to hand-build pinch pots, coil pots and slab pots, and glazing techniques.
Wednesdays: Clay Polymer Modelling | Starts November 4
You will learn the basic techniques of sculpting with polymer clay to build upon your figures, carving details, and contours that will bring realism to them.
Saturdays: Kids Art | Starts November 7
Designed for children in K1-Grade 5.
