October 24 – 25
Level 0, Lecture Hall between Ibn Al-Haytham (bldg. 2) and Ibn Sina (bldg. 3)
The Red Sea Research Center (RSRC) is proud to present its inaugural student and postdoc-led conference for young researchers and early career scientists.
Members of the RSRC conduct research across various marine science disciplines that relate to both the Red Sea and global marine systems. While professors usually give broad overviews of their respective research interests, these talks provide an avenue for Masters, Ph.D. and postdoctoral students to share detailed insights into their respective research projects. The conference aims to facilitate communication and further collaboration among center researchers and provide an opportunity for scientists of other disciplines and the KAUST community to learn about the work being conducted at the RSRC. This conference is additionally highlighted by external keynote speakers – all of them luminaries in marine sciences – as well as a workshop with international and in-Kingdom contributors alike, promising that the Red Sea Research Center Open Conference will be an innovative and inspiring session for all attendees!
