KAUST is honored to be selected as one of the world’s elite 100 universities to participate in the 2014 Falling Walls Lab competition. Falling Walls is looking for young innovators to present their research projects, business plans, entrepreneurial or social initiatives. Presentations will be made before a panel of judges, and must be completed in three minutes or less.
Here at KAUST, we will hold our campus competition on September 17 and award prizes to five finalists, with an ultimate winner earning a trip to Berlin for the international competition on the weekend of November 8, 2014. If you are a student, post-doc, professional, scientist, entrepreneur, or otherwise and have a vision to change the world, this is your chance!
- 1st Prize Winner – Trip to Berlin and a MacBook Air 13″ (256 GB)
- 2nd Prize/Runner Up – MacBook Air 11″ (256 GB)
- 3rd Prize – iPad Air Wi-Fi + Cellular (64 GB)
- 4th Prize – iPad Air Wi-Fi + Cellular (32 GB)
- 5th Prize – iPad Air Wi-Fi + Cellular (16 GB)
Applications are now being accepted. All KAUST community members aged 35 or less are eligible. The deadline for applications is August 24, 2014.
