The HSE Fire Department, supported by other KAUST Emergency Operations teams, Security, and KAUST Health, will conduct a planned fire drill at the Oasis residential complex on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
This is a controlled exercise and not a real emergency.
What to expect during the exercise
- A fire drill will take place in Oasis 620 apartments (O-620).
- Emergency response teams will be on-site, including KAUST and external fire departments.
- Road closures will be in place on Orchid Lane and the adjacent parking lot during the exercise (see map below).
In case of emergency
During the drill, should a real emergency occur, the KAUST community, including residents of Oasis 620 apartments (O-620), must contact KAUST Emergency Services by calling 911 from a KAUST landline, 012 808 0911 from a mobile phone, or by using the 911 icon in the KAUSTCentral app.
