The Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Department is rolling out a brand-new online training program. The goal of this program is to empower the KAUST community by providing training and information on relevant HSE issues that have the potential to not only affect us as individuals but also the community at large. Through this program, we hope to make tools and information available to promote a safer and healthier community. The training program is currently available to persons with a KAUST email.
However, as the program name suggests, we anticipate making the training program available to the KAUST community at large in the near future. The training program will consist of separate training courses. Currently, eight training courses are available.
More training courses will be developed and announced as the need is identified by HSE analysis of hazards. Requests from the community to develop training courses covering specific topics will also be considered. Although the courses are not compulsory, we encourage you to complete all of the training courses as they are developed.
The courses are available at https://blackboard.kaust.edu.sa, under the heading KAUST Community Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Awareness Program. They are quite interactive with presentations, videos and quizzes. Participants will be able to print their own certificates on successful completion of each course.
