The Office of the Arts invites adult community members to join one of our three music groups; the Angklung Ensemble, Orchestra or the Chorus. Rehearsals begin the first week in September to prepare for the Fall 2019 KAUST Ensembles Concert on Monday, October 21.
The Angklung Ensemble rehearses on Sunday evenings from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in building 20. Starting on Sunday, September 1.
All musical levels, including beginners, are welcome to play a traditional Indonesian musical instrument made of bamboo tubes attached to a frame.
The Orchestra rehearses on Monday evenings from 6:15 to 8:00 p.m. in building 20. Starting on Monday, September 2. Musicians with previous experience in playing an instrument are welcome to join. We may be able to provide an instrument. Please contact the Arts Office to schedule an informal interview at artsoffice@kaust.edu.sa.
The Chorus rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in building 20. Starting on Tuesday, September 3.
Complete beginners and those who have some prior knowledge of music reading are welcome.

I tried to send and email to the art office but it seems the email address is not working anymore.
I’m interested in joining this any of these ensembles. Do I just show up to the rehearsals or do I have to register in some place. I would like to get more information, so if there are anyone I can contact, that would be great.
