The TIE Program is opening its doors for two sessions this week. If you are weighing up TIE 234 for the fall, or you registered and want a clearer picture of what the semester looks like, come and ask.
TIE 234, Design, Innovation and Impact, runs Tuesdays from September 1. Over one semester, students take a research insight, an emerging technology, or a problem worth solving and turn it into a tested, evidence-based concept. Teams work with real stakeholders, design experiments, gather evidence, and build a prototype.
What you can ask about
- What a typical week looks like, in class and outside it
- The kind of projects teams take on and how they are chosen
- How the course fits alongside your research
- Whether it counts toward your program requirements
