Turn your ideas into solutions for the future of energy.
The Ministry of Energy is inviting KAUST students, postdoctoral fellows, researchers, and faculty members to take part in Energy Hackathon 2026, a national competition focused on developing innovative solutions to real challenges across the energy sector.
Participants will work across one of three tracks:
- 01 Operational efficiency — Improving how energy facilities and grids operate.
- 02 Transformative innovation — Developing solutions that support innovation in the design of fuel stations and hydrogen storage.
- 03 Intelligent control — Developing solutions that address challenges in fault prediction and load management in electrical grids.
Teams will receive mentoring and training from experts in the field, with total prizes exceeding SAR 500,000.
Teams can include both Saudi and non-Saudi members. The only requirement is that each team leader must be a Saudi national.
