KAUST-MCIT report highlights KSA’s roadmap to a deep-tech ecosystem 

KAUST, in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), has unveiled an in-depth report highlighting initiatives driving Saudi Vision 2030 goals and advancing a thriving digital economy. 

Produced in collaboration with Hello Tomorrow, a global deep-tech network and accelerator, the report spotlights domestic growth in artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and other advanced technologies. It underscores the critical role of research, innovation and policy in positioning the Kingdom as a deep-tech global leader. 

The report emphasizes the importance of a robust Saudi research ecosystem, with institutions such as KAUST — established as a world-class STEM university — providing state-of-the-art facilities and leading expertise to enhance the Kingdom’s global competitiveness. Initiatives such as KAUST’s Destination Deep Tech program exemplify efforts to nurture leadership and accelerate growth within this ecosystem. 

As a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s deep-tech development, KAUST plays a pivotal role in empowering talent and cultivating innovation to strengthen the Kingdom’s presence in the digital domain.
