It has been a great start to the KAUST Global Corporate Challenge (GCC) and an amazing finish to the first month.
The KAUST GCC team would like to congratulate the winners of the Steps & Beyond Challenge for the month of June. In this KAUST competition, the more activities you do as an individual or as a team, the more points you are awarded. Points are awarded for participating in a GCC event or activity, attending a class at one of our facilities or using any of the fitness areas of the recreational facilities. In addition, if you have six or more of your team at the same GCC class, activity or event, you are awarded bonus points – building community is one of the key objectives of this initiative.
We would like to congratulate the Indomitable Camels for taking the top team prize for June! Click here to read their story. This team motivated each other for no other reason than just to have fun. To them the fact that they win some great prizes is just the icing on the cake.
Our individual champion for the month of June almost averaged 3 visits a day to the recreational facilities. His decision to join the GCC this year was for fun, and from that fun he realized that he could become healthier and adopt some new habits to become more active. He is really an inspirational individual and seeing him around the facilities everyday puts a smile on our faces. Without further ado, we would like to congratulate Lijo Francis!
