Congratulations to all 227 finishers: 136 racers in the Sprint Triathlon and 91 participants in the kid’s triathlon, our junior and senior racers showed impressive results! In addition to the racers, there were many other community members involved – marshaling, manning water stations and other volunteering tasks, and hundreds more who lined the route to cheer on their family, friends and colleagues – a true community effort!
The Sprint race started with a 400m open-water swim in the Harbor waters, then onto a fast, scenic 20km cycle leg through the community and out to KAM Park, and finally a 5km run along the canal path and round the Beacon. In the kid’s triathlon, the Juniors completed a 100m pool swim, a 5km bike ride and a 1km run, while the Seniors undertook a 200m pool swim, a 10km bike ride and a 2km run.

I would like to congratulate and thank all involved for this excellent opportunity. Best for me to see was how all the participants encouraged each other: it was TEAM KAUST all the way!
Indeed, it’s a great success and we had a lot of fun. Thank you so much for taking the initiative and organizing this event.
