Guided bird walks in October

HSE is offering three guided bird walks for October as listed below. The migration period will still be in full swing continuing making this an ideal time to get to know some of the 245 birds occurring here. The walks take a little over one hour and we usually manage to find around 40 different species. HSE is able to provide pairs of binoculars if participants do not have their own.

Book up early to avoid disappointment!

Two of the walks are open to all KAUST Community members whilst the third is aimed at our Junior Bird Watchers. The Safaa Golf Course walks are held on Sunday afternoons when the club is open to the community for walking and jogging purposes.

Please sign up by going to the HSE Website on the portal: https://hse.kaust.edu.sa/Pages/Birdwatching.aspx

For the Junior Walk we use the golf club buggies to move around and therefore the number of places is limited to 10. If your children are under 9 years of age please accompany them on the walk.

Sunday October 8, Safaa Golf Course 5:15 p.m. (All Community Members)
Friday, October 13, South Beach Walk/Bird Count 6:30 a.m. (All Community Members)
Sunday, October 22, Golf Course Juniors 5:00 p.m. (Junior Walk)

I hope to see you there,
