With more than 400 staff engaged in the GOCP, and thirteen offices certified, Green Office ceremony was held at the University Library on August 3 to honor the offices of the following departments for their green efforts as new entries into the GOCP:
- Human Resources
- Graduate Affairs
- Library Offices
- Academic & Economic Development P&T (IT)
GOCP is a voluntary, point-based certification program with three tiered levels (Silver, Gold, and Platinum) developed by the Health, Safety and Environment Department (HSE) that aims to promote sustainable office practices at KAUST. GOCP requirements covers four major areas namely energy conservation, waste minimization, sustainability awareness and the use of alternative transportation.

- Office of the VP Academic Affairs

- Office of the VP Academic Affairs – International Programs, Visiting Students Research Program
