They are Pioneers in Exploration of Arabia. Mike Bruton, designer of the Museum of Science and Technology in Islam (MOSTI), will take us to the time of the Golden Age and the astonishing discoveries and innovations made by Muslim scholars. In the evening, Alastair Humphreys who walked across the Empty Quarter on Wilfred Thesiger’s route will share his experiences of being a modern adventurer.
Today’s program is particularly rich with the opening of a new exhibition Old Maps of Arabia, guided tours of the Museum of Science and Technology in Islam (MOSTI), the Pioneering Plastic Painting workshop and the Discover and Build Your Own Astrolabe workshop. Not to mention the four exhibitions still on display.
