Staycation anytime at KAUST
These regularly offered activities will make your staycation feel like a vacation:
- Take a dip in the pool at the Harbor Sports Club and Island Recreation Center (6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. daily) HSC pool will close on October 16
- Knock some pins at the Bowling Alley Open 12:00 – 9:00 p.m. daily. (Closed Sundays) – remember to bring your shoes!
- Go for a round at the Safaa Golf Club 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. daily (Closed Sundays)
- Check the cinema listings to see what is showing this week
- Get some rays at South Beach. South Beach will close on October 16
- Take the kids to Playland or soft play area
Quiz Night: October 14
Make a team of up to six players and show your wits. The October Quiz Night event will be held at the Island Recreation Club on Thursday, October 14, 2021. Starting from 7:00 p.m., teams will compete in general knowledge. Whether you are looking for an evening of collaborative fun or want to show off your knowledge, this quiz night is for you.

BBQ at South Beach: October 15
Have a fun afternoon at South Beach on October 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with friends and family along with an appetizing live barbecue! A selection of burgers and sandwiches will be available for purchase. Learn more
Kids fall camps: October 17-21
- Children’s Center fall camp is designed for first to fifth graders to learn, socialize, stay active and be creative. Our one-week Halloween-themed program will be filled with a wide variety of indoor and outdoor tasks and fun activities. For registration and to learn more, click here.
- Building Blocks Daycare is also offering a camp for younger age which includes water games, field trips, and much more. Learn more.
Golf activities: October 18 (2:00 to 4:00 p.m.)
Safaa Golf Club is having a special day for the kids to enjoy themselves where they will be challenged on different areas of the game of golf. There will be two activities set up by the Golf team where the kids will have the first activity as Target Golf and the second one as Mini Golf.

Camping at King Abdullah Monument Park, Safaa Stadium, and South Beach
It’s magical to sleep under the stars! If you have your own tent and want to go camping at King Abdullah Monument Park or Safaa Stadium, we are offering camping pitches during the break. To book a spot, complete the booking form with your contact information and the date(s) you would like to camp.
In addition, we are offering camping at South Beach on October 14, October 15, October 21, and October 22. If you would like to camp at South Beach on any of these dates, please complete this registration form.
KAM Splash: October 22
KAM Splash is back at King Abdullah Monument Park. This event will be held on Friday, October 22 between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. for everyone to enjoy the wet and dry inflatables, music, and delightful food options, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Be prepared to have an amazing time! Learn more!
Walk or Run 5K to support Breast Cancer awareness: October 23
Wear pink and bring the whole family to walk or run together! No registration is required.
- When: Saturday, October 23 at 8:00 a.m.
- Where: Meet at Island Recreation Club (IRC) parking lot
This event is a partnership with the Beach to Beacon community club.

Budding Genius is a STEM online learning platform that offers a range of online Camps. This fall they will be covering Game Development and Python Coding.
