Driving Permit Classes

Due to the new Traffic and Vehicle Safety policy, the minimum age for driving in KAUST has changed to 17 years. However, 16 year olds born before May 18, 1999 can book a spot in the KAUST Driving Permit classroom and assessment course for a limited time only.

To obtain a KAUST driving permit entrants must attend 2.5 hours of in-classroom training. After successful completion of the classroom test, a driving permit assessment will be conducted at the KAUST Stadium.

Course offerings:

Course #1: Wednesday, June 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Course #2: Sunday, July 12 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Course #3: Wednesday, August 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Bookings must be made on or before Wednesday July 1, 2015. To book your course please email Traffic.Safety@kaust.edu.sa

NOTE: any person found driving without the correct license or driving permit will be subject to a fine and penalty points as listed in Schedule C of the Traffic and Road Safety Policy, Unlicensed Driving.

As these specific courses are for 16 year olds born before May 18, 1999 – will there be other courses run at a later date for everyone else?
