Cyber Security Awareness Month has begun!

This October, KAUST is marking Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2026 under the theme Stay Safe Online. Throughout the month, the Information Security Department will lead a series of activities and initiatives designed to strengthen cybersecurity awareness, encourage secure digital habits, and help our community recognize and respond to evolving cyber threats.

Take part in Cybersecurity Awareness Month:

  • Explore the campus cyber Hhunt: Find cybersecurity checkpoints located across campus, scan the QR codes, complete short challenges, and make your way through the hunt for a chance to win prizes.
  • Visit the cyber pop-up booth: Stop by for quick and interactive cybersecurity activities, test your knowledge, spin the wheel, and take part in opportunities to win prizes and giveaways.
  • Take on online cybersecurity challenges: Participate wherever you are through short quizzes designed to test common cybersecurity assumptions and strengthen your ability to recognize everyday digital risks.
  • Learn practical ways to stay safe online: Look out for simple tips and resources covering cybersecurity risks we encounter at work and in our personal digital lives.
  • Discover emerging cyber threats: Learn how phishing, impersonation, AI-enabled scams, and other evolving techniques are being used, along with practical steps to recognize and respond to them.
  • Win prizes and giveaways: Take part in the Cyber Hunt, Spin The Wheel, or online quizzes throughout the month for opportunities to earn prizes and enter prize draws.

Whether you are a student, researcher, faculty member, or staff member, Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an opportunity to have fun while continuing to build a more secure, resilient, and digitally confident KAUST community.
