KAUST University Library is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the first ever ORCID National Workshop in Saudi Arabia on October 23 at our beautiful library. Leaders from university libraries from the Kingdom have been invited to join us, providing them with a platform to engage on the topics of new trends in scholarly communication, the benefits of ORCID usage, and practical approaches for implementing ORCID in ways appropriate to their institution. Sessions will be delivered by experts from the Research Evaluation Office and the Library.
For us, the event will provide an opportunity to showcase KAUST and the Library’s innovative work to other universities in the Kingdom.
As part of the event, we will be hosting an ORCID drop-in session for the KAUST community to talk to us about setting up a profile or updating their current one from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 pm on Monday, October 23. Look for the ORCID poster in the lobby of the University Library building.
