Collection of donations made easy!
“Second Chance” the KAUST Thrift Shop will be opening in November. We are currently accepting donations,
Bring your items to the storage room next to the store (see map) on Saturday, November 23 between 12PM-2PM. Volunteers will be there to help people with their donations.
Outside of those hours, you can put your smaller items in the containers on the side of wall near the store. Please do not stack items on the ground. Bring your larger and/or more precious donations to the storage room during operating hours.
What can you donate?
“Second Chance” is looking for donations in good to excellent condition.
- Small appliances or items using batteries or electricity must be operable.
- Clothing for children 3 years of age and younger.
- Kitchen ware, toys, school backpacks, bicycles, decoration items, small furniture, pet supplies, jewelry, office equipment and supplies, tools, etc.

Where will the proceeds go?
The money collected from the sale of items will go towards helping our local communities.
Why aren’t adult clothes welcome?
We haven’t ruled out adult clothing in the future. Right now we are focuing our energies on cleaning, sorting & pricing of donations, and setting up the store for opening day. Adult clothing requires lots of space and sorting….items need to be washed. We decided to collect clothing for children 3 years and younger first since their clothes are usually in good shape and take up less space. Once we have the store open and running smoothly with our volunteers , we can address the feasability of selling adult clothes. Thank you for your inquiry!
