Roads around our schools are busy, shared spaces. By slowing down, staying alert, and looking out for pedestrians, cyclists, and micro-mobility users, we can all help keep our students and community safe. Because we care about preventing incidents and injuries on our roads, every safe choice matters.
Protect Pedestrians
Slow down when approaching pedestrian crossings and always be prepared to stop. Pay particular attention around school entrances, drop-off and pick-up areas, cycling lanes, and pedestrian crossings, where students may enter or cross the roadway unexpectedly.

Know what to do around school buses
School buses require extra caution, particularly while children are boarding or leaving the bus. When a school bus stops with its STOP arm extended, road users must follow the school bus STOP rule and remain alert for children who may be crossing the road.
