The KAUST Imaging & Characterization Core Lab presents:
AI-powered Microscopy: The Future of Image Analysis
Sunday, October 8, 2023
10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Building 3, Level 5, R 5209
The Imaging and Characterization Core Lab (IAC), Optical Microscopy (OM) Unit, invites you to a unique workshop with the CEO of Thya Technology, Dr. Justine Braguy. Braguy will share her expertise in Artificial Intelligence applied to image analysis of microscope-derived image data. Thya Technology provides AI tools for automated image analysis utilizing computer vision and machine learning. Compared to traditional methods of inspecting and analyzing images, this automated drag-and-drop approach guarantees accurate identification and documentation of microscopic information, accomplishing the task in record time. With this introductory workshop, each participant will be able to learn the basics of Computer Vision, get a walk-through of the no-code Thya Technology platform, and generate their own specific AI-driven detection model(s).
Participants will need to bring their laptops and their datasets.
All KAUST students and staff (specifically within BESE) with an interest in optical microscopy and image processing are welcome to register.
Register here by Thursday, October 5. A confirmation email will be sent.
This opportunity is brought to you by the KAUST Core Labs.
