Students for Sustainability is a newly formed student group with a mission to create positive changes towards a more sustainable lifestyle at KAUST.
The Week of Awareness concept aims to gather people one hour per day during one week for talks, documentaries, enlightening discussions, and easy-to-implement guidelines to become more sustainable.
From Saturday, Sep 5 until Friday, Sep 11, Students for Sustainability will be focusing their efforts on food and Sustainability. A broad topic that comes with individual responsibilities. How does the food we eat influence our bodies? And how do the food choices we make have an impact on our planet? We have all heard the saying “you are what you eat”, but are we?

Join us every evening next week on Zoom from 7 pm to 8 pm to talk about product consumption and their impacts on our body and planet. We will also talk about intensive food production, soil nutrient depletion, and soil remediation. Our aim is to raise awareness about food waste.
If you want to be more sustainable but you don’t know how join one of our workshops.
We teach you how to make your own compost, how to start your indoor garden, and how to reduce your food waste.
Events sponsored by: Graduate Events and Recreation, Community Life, and the Embassy of Switzerland in KSA.
