Sneak Preview of the Latest KAUST Video!

Watch an exclusive preview of the latest KAUST promotional video! The Communications Department has been working on a brief KAUST video that will be made available if you are going to give a presentation and want to open with a quick portrait of the University or you are attending a conference and wish it to be shown in your booth – in brief, just an engaging look at KAUST and what we’re doing here. This is the ‘rough cut’, not yet ready for distribution and in low-resolution, but we thought you’d enjoy seeing what we’re up to.

See if you recognize your colleagues and be sure to leave a comment below.

Beautiful video. Sad though us library employees were asked to stay out of the video
🙁

Thank you for your nice remarks. Our director chose the “actors” to tell a certain story and I am sorry you wanted to appear and weren’t in it. Keep an eye out for the next time we’re shooting and let us know of your interest.

Nice video, however to share on facebook or any other network, we need an account on vimeo, this is not good.

Dear Muhammad, thanks for your comment. This video is not yet public and is shared on The Lens as only an internal sneak preview. Once it is finalized for public release, we will be sure to post it to our vimeo and make it easy to share.

To access the University’s vimeo account, be sure to scroll to the footer of The Lens and there is a direct link under “KAUST elsewhere”

Very professional production – very positive message – a great way to promote KAUST…. How will this be used (outside KAUST)?

In addition to being available online, we envision it being used at presentations, conferences, and exhibits — any place where KAUST is being promoted.

My colleague Ahmed (and his brother Abdullah) Dehwah at 3:35. I think them talking about “family” is an inside joke!

Enjoyed the sneak preview. Well done to the Communications Dept as I know a bit of the hardwork & coordinating that went into making this video. Was happy to see I recognised quite a few of the “actors” Will be a great media when published.

Couldn’t help notice the book title “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” on the bookshelf at 2:10 – good job!
As a KAUST ‘founder’ I love it that there is still so much for me to learn about our University.

Great video and presentation including the selections of areas and views to be covered and presented.
However, Please consider some of the points observe:
1. The discovery square had a sign of no roller blades and bicycles we had shoot roller blader and cyclist.
2. As noted by Majid that library employees was ask to stay out of the video is really sad. It is more encouraging if we will used the same person (real actors) on the area that will be shoot so in the event guest had viewed and visit that area they can be easily identified.
3. The wooden bridge is not recommended as bike zone since it has stair on both ends. Childrens might follow the same example and put them in danger.
