Save the date: Enrichment in the Spring 2016

Enrichment in the Spring is coming—get ready to explore innovation this April.

Our annual Enrichment in the Spring program returns from April 22 to 30.

We have a fantastic program for all the community, including the first ever jazz festival at KAUST, with three days of movies and live music from Jeddah Jazz Quartet, Dhahran Big Band and The Leftovers, as well as a jam session.

Our theme for the program is Exploring Innovation, in which we will focus on trends and developments worldwide and the great work being done here at KAUST. Tom Skalak of the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation will join us for a fascinating keynote lecture on how to create ecosystems that foster innovation. We’ll also celebrate World Intellectual Property day with an IP symposium and a keynote lecture on innovation and intellectual property from Peter L. Hoffman from Boeing. We’ll also wow you with a special KAUST technology showcase and a tour of the core labs.

KAUST students will have the opportunity to take part in STEAM, a brand new program where small teams work to solve big problems facing the world in 48 hours.

With all this and a sculpture tour, community photo exhibition and many other events, you’ll be able to explore and enjoy innovation and creativity in all kinds of ways. Prepare to be inspired!

A dedicated event website with event details and registration is coming soon. We’ll see you in April…

The Enrichment team

The Office of Enrichment Programs would like to thank all our partners, especially Industry and Economic Development, Graduate Affairs and the Office of the Arts.

Do we invite Joey Alexander, a young jazz pianist? This is his performance at Grammy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QumdhgIghRs).
