As part of a series of workshops on “Large Scale Data Analysis and Visualization,” the KAUST Visualization Laboratory (KVL), in collaboration with the KAUST Supercomputing Laboratory and IT Research Computing is pleased to announce a half-day workshop on Distributed Visualization and Data Analysis with ParaView on Thursday, March 10.
Visualization experts from the KVL, the KSL and IT Research Computing will introduce the HPC add-on for Paraview. The add-on allows ParaView users to launch jobs on KAUST HPC clusters to load, analyze and visualize very large (multi-terabyte) datasets. The workshop session will include a series of demonstrations on how to connect to the Cray XC40 supercomputer Shaheen II and Noor/SMC clusters, followed by a demonstration of ParaView’s capabilities in analyzing large datasets.
ParaView was developed to analyze extremely large datasets using distributed memory computing resources. It can be run on supercomputers to analyze
datasets of terascale as well as on laptops for smaller data.
